Pio Cesares Barbaresco er altid et fortrinligt billede på Pio Cesares formåen i Barbaresco, nærmere bestemt Il Bricco og San Stefanetto-markerne i Tresio-kommunen, der ligger højere end områdets andre to kommuner. Samtidig ligner jordbunden til forveksling den i Barolos Serralunga d´Alba, og vinen har derfor meget af den samme karaktér men opnår hurtigt en endnu mere fløjlsblød struktur.

This is a very typical Barbaresco, with a solid core of fruit. Lots of strawberries, cedar and chewy tannins. Full and structured. Excellent length, with the tannins kicking in at the end. This needs at least four or five years of bottle age. Try after 2027.
